Okafor didn't show much to ease my concerns over his defense. Slow footed and can't jump. Doesn't really contest anything at the rim.

He stands around and just looks passively a bit too much....

He does have smooth moves in the post but it will be interesting to see him against the likes of Jordan and Cousins...I suspect he will have some issues due to his lack of assertiveness. If he can ultimately play like Duncan than that would be great but he is going to have to put in a lot of work.

Btw....Grant's dunk in the 1st quarter was slammin...

Okafur's defense was the biggest knock, it's probably not going to change, which is why one of Noel/Embiid will always be here and if they have to move 1 of 3, it may be Okafur. Noel looks like an elite defensive players, if he can chip in 10-12 pts a game, that'll be huge. Embiid if he can get on the court, can do it all.

Jason Thomspon on BOB. Him and Stauskus on kings last year. but what's amazing during the interview. He has had like 7 coaches, stauskus has had like 3 each year of his time with SAC.

He also took a shot at SAC, saying its worst run team in the league.

No way to really grow or learn anything with the instablity. Hoping with both of them knowing Brown is the coach, they can learn and play well.

Holmes will be back in a couple months, but with Okafor, Noel, Furkan, Thompson, Grant and Covington, there won't be much PT even without Embiid. He's a keeper, but I can see them trying to stash him in the developmental league for a year.

I wouldn't make a final judgment on a 19 year old player off a couple summer league games in Utah (altitude is a factor). Okafor is not going to be playing above the rim, but he has the size and arm length to be a defensive factor once he's in NBA shape and is coached up - no one is going to back him into the paint!

Stauskas in these?

Nah, he's been in the league for a few years. No summer league for him.

Food for thought/discussion:

1. A bunch of NBA teams were in a bidding war for 1 big man who can't shoot free throws. We have 3.

2. I'd love to see McRae make the roster. Not because he's a star, but because he's a good hustle player. I liked watching him play at Tennessee.

3. Furkan bodies people when he sets picks, that's fun. Especially where he's cleaning up the boards.

4. How cool would it be if Jerami Grant could shoot? & did anyone see Sportscenter's tweet where they called him a rookie?

5. Everyone at the bottom improved enough to be better than us, so we'll have a good pick next year.

Mcrae was flat out horrible, he is the sixers version of dominc brown.

he needs to add strength to his legs and body. He had several airballs, and can't get seperation with a defender.

I live in Vegas with literally NOTHING better to do with my life.

Maybe i'll go check out one of these games.

What is it like to live in Vegas? I live right by Atlantic City people still flock there (I assume AC is what Las Vegas would look like if the entire town was hit by a nuclear bomb and the only thing that survived were one decent casino and a couple ****** ones and a bunch of crackhouses). You get bored of the casinos and such?

Yeah, AC couldn't hold a candle to Vegas.

I'm originally from Philadelphia, but i LOVE Vegas. it really is an awesome city. I stay away from the casinos because i come from a family with addiction problems (Heroin, gambling, alcoholism). But things are open 24 hours a day, its the food capital of the west coast. I own a 3 bedroom house in which my master bedroom has two walk in closets, a jacuzzi and is massive... i pay 1450.

it's cost effective, it's fun, and the city is built on a grid so it's impossible to get lost.

downsides: it's 120 degrees in the summer. You HAVE to drive, no other option. The closest neighboring cities are Los Angeles (4 hours), Phoenix (4 hours), San Diego (4.5 hours) and Reno (9 hours).

I might be heading out there. I been a Tractor Trailer Driver, but I'm currently learning the Admin side of it, Freight Agent, etc.

My training is out of phoenix. but living out there I'd be able to serve all time zones, and if i'm not mistaken the best part of nevada is no state taxes I think. I even heard apartments are alot cheaper vs what I pay here in philly?

the funny thing is I been in all 48 states, but never was thru vegas, haven't been there lol. Closest was barstow CA, first time I had an IN and OUT burger very good.

I thank you for giving some inside about the vegas, area it will help me.

You'll dig it. As far as big cities is concerned, it's very forward in it's design. It's very cost effective, minus your power bill during the summers.

Again, i live in the nicest area of town (Summerlyn) and i have a 3 Bedroom HOUSE with a two car garage and i pay 1450. It's very cheap.

If you move out here, you'll find reasons to love it. It won't be Philly, so as long as you're not one of those people who complains when you go somewhere new because it isn't exactly the same as where you left, you'll be fine.
