I’d love to hear what made Phil start using a full checking line instead of a faceoff specialist, and how he realized Sobotka wasn’t good defensively.

These were problems going back to his first games (replace Vlad with Nolan) that appear to have stopped without warning or explanation.

Now that he's stopped using his 2C as a defensive faceoff specialist, he's moved into the bottom third instead of being one of the outliter-worst of the league. Interested to see how long it lasts.

I was hard on the "fire Housley" train but the performance of the team in the last 3 games should obviously have everyone re-considering. If they maintain it, I'm happy to keep him.

I still remain skeptical though. 3 games, as mentioned, isn't a lot.
