Clearly you don’t watch Habs games. He’s a good on the face off, great defensively, and can chip in offensively he’s exactly what you want in a 4th line centre. He’s not slow either

You just answered your question. Because he is an NHL player and a better 4th line centre then any AHL player you have or waiver wire player you can pickup

Nate Thompson is fine. He's a perfectly good 4C. He wins faceoffs and can play a little PK. He'll be a solid add to the bottom 6. Remember Blair Betts in 2010? Basically the same guy. Useful, unexciting, Nate Thompson.
