I was just sifting through clips from the weekend to save for all the prospects season ending highlight videos. Certainly this won't be on, so I uploaded it seperately...

That's kind of funny that they call Bean Beaner. I don't think you'd call a teammate that in California.

Is this NAKs last year of Chl eligibility? What are the odds for him to join Phantoms for play offs, should they get in?

Yes, it his last year in which he's required to play in the Q. He'll be playing for the Phantoms in 2016-2017 if not the Flyers.

It's tough to say for sure but his team is one of the best in the Q so a deep playoff run making him unavailable to join the Phantoms wouldn't be shocking.

If Hexy is leaving Ghost and Morin in Ahl this season considering how putrid our d is, then I'm sure he will keep NAK in there too.

I think they'd be more open to having a young forward on the team than a young defenseman. It's an easier transition. That said he will still need a big next 11 months to be in position to make the NHL club.

It's an easier transition for wingers than defensemen so you never know as a lot can change from now until then. However that's beyond the point I was making which was it's either the Phantoms or the Flyers for NAK next year as far as options go.

That is true considering that forwards and especially wingers don't get exposed as much. However he would need to light training camp in fire to be in consideration and still Hexy can end up saying he was good and he likes what he sees in his game, but he is not sure he can provide that kind of play against Nhl level competition and over full season and it will be better for NAK player and the club if he spends some time in Ahl.

I would guess some older guys such as Cousins or Martel will be the ones who will get a longer look.

Nevertheless there is Lindblom in the fold too and overall it's pretty good situation to be into rather than have Adam Halls in your lineup.

With Voracek, Simmonds, Konecny and NAK all RW and all being top 9 guys, who moves to LW down the road? I've been a Bruins fan since 82 but hate the direction with Sweeney and although the Flyers will struggle this year, the future looks exciting. Hextall seems to be putting together a strong team for the future.

NAK can and does play LW. Konecny is skilled enough to pull it off but doesn't have much experience there.

The guy running down Sanheim in the prospects thread is a Canucks fan who thinks Sbisa is good defensively. :shakehead

That guy is a complete numbskull. He's the prototypical person who watches the World Juniors or WJC summer camps and fancies himself an expert on each player. He's done it for several prospects. Don't bother arguing with him. He saw Sanheim get beat a couple times at the summer camp and he's just assuming that the traits carried over. He clearly hasn't watched him this year.

Hope he really works on moving east to west and walking the blue line, he really struggles with it.
