TITLE: Flyers hire Brady Robinson as goaltender development coach

Robinson's job essentially will be to work with, oversee and evaluate the goalie prospects throughout the Flyers' system as well as scouting the amateur ranks. He has 19 years coaching/evaluation experience.

For the past nine years, Robinson has been the goalie coach for the WHL’s Victoria Royals, while also serving on Hockey Canada’s goaltending advisory board.

Between 1996 and 2011, he worked for the Goaltending Development Institute as regional manager for British Columbia. His boss was GDI founder and current Columbus goaltending coach Ian Clark, as well as Dillabaugh, who served as Clark’s assistant.

Is this the first time the Flyers have had two full time goalie coaches?
In the latter half of the 1970s, Jacques Plante was hired as the first full-time assistant goalie coach in NHL history, almost exclusively to work with Bernie Parent.

When Parent's playing career ended with a freak on-ice eye injury, Plante roamed the minors and over time helped tutor players such as Pete Peeters who cited Plante's influences for one of the reasons he (Peeters) developed into an NHL goalie. Meanwhile, Parent (starting in 1979) became the goalie coach with the Flyers in that time.

Speaking of Hicketts, I found this post from the Pronman thread pretty funny.

So he seems to have his hits and misses. Definitely made some unorthodox picks that look fairly decent. Just still can't believe Joe Hicketts is ranked #53 ahead of guys like Sanheim. I'll eat a donkey if Hicketts becomes more than a bottom-pairing D-man (I'm wagering he won't even make the NHL as a regular at this point).

Twitter has told me a certain unpopular and possibly insane prospect writer posted his Flyers top 10. Lets just get this over with now. Someone post it. We can all shake our heads in disgust and return to our days.

Kase went from top 30 in his final draft rankings to not being in his top 100 or honorable mentions of all prospects league wide to just cracking the Flyers top 10 organizational rankings. I guess that summer camp with the Czech's went a long way for him.

Guy is just a glorified HF poster. Actually that might be giving him too much credit.
