Looks like it's us. "The Ontario Hockey League today announced that, due to Covid-19 protocols affecting the Peterborough Petes Hockey Club, tonight’s regular season game between the Petes and host Barrie Colts has been postponed."

Im guessing that’s why Alfano, Melee and Dubois were absent on Thursday night

So the game is on tonight with Niagara and with us having two games in hand on Sudbury, kind of a must-win situation. We've had lots of rest so we should be full-throttle. I'm going to the game tonight (just got the holiday flex-pak) only 2nd time at PMC this season. I'm looking at season tickets for next year because I think the Petes will be a serious contender in 2022-23.

Good job by the Petes picking up the win tonight.
Both goalies played well.

Kudos to the IceDogs who played 1 man short, forced to dress 8 dmen and with a lineup that had 11 rookies (compared to the Petes 6 rookies).

These are big games for the Petes as they battle Sudbury for 8th.
After tonight's win the Petes are tied with Sudbury at 41 points and the Petes have three games in hand.

Not sure if the IceDogs will be getting any of their missing players back for tomorrow night's game but the Petes need to keep rolling and have some momentum before returning to host the Generals for the 3rd game of a 3 in 3 weekend.

Robertson said in the Examiner that it wasn't the Petes best game and he's right. But they did enough to win. My concern is that there were periods of time when Niagara controlled the play which goes to show that the last place team in the East has some mojo. Not an easy team to beat even when they're shorthanded. Opportunity to bounce back tonight for the Petes and play a more tight game. Witnessed a lot of fanned shots and passes and misfires last night. The Petes could do a lot to tighten up their puck control. Smith back after tonight's game and with Spearing back finally, we have a very solid top 6 defensemen. Donovan McCoy is showing signs he might be one of the best defenseman on the team and probably will be the top guy next year. very smooth player and reliable, rarely loses puck battles and good zone exits with the puck.

Only player certain to come back tonight is Cooke.

Going through Petes prospect list… doesn’t look like there’s much there in terms of guys knocking on the door for next years team…

Sam McCue (05) skating with U18 Petes and practising with OHL club. Strong contender for a spot on next years team. Skilled winger, good size. His brother plays for the London Knights.

Jace McGrail(05) is leading the alliance U18 loop in scoring for defenseman with 24 points in 31 games despite his team not being very strong

Owen McNamara(05) and Darren Wilson(05) are playing for Toronto Jr.Canadiens U18 team. GTHL doesn’t make it easy to find stats but they’re the third ranked team in Ontario.

Kaden Muir (04, US Dev Team) is struggling to put up points but is committed to Northeastern.

Shawn Ramsey(04) is playing in USHL and is pointless in 21 games. He’s committed to Wisconsin.

Marko Stojkov (04) is playing in Sweden and doing quite well… 15 points in 22 games in a U18 league. He’s grown quite a bit since his draft year, drafted at 5’7 and now 6’0. I think the Petes have shown interest in getting him back to Ontario before.

Xander Micelli(05) playing U18 AAA and has posted a 2.00GAA in 15 games. Have the Petes ever had a player from Nashville Tennessee before?

Anybody else I should be keeping an eye on?
thankyou for your info

Watched the London Knights not too long ago on the OHL hockey package. In intermission they talked about Dale and Mark Hunter they bought the team along with Basil McCrae in may 2000 . in 20 years they have produced 66 NHL drafted players, 23 Ist round picks in NHL. Playoff appearances 19 years, OHL finals 7 times. J Ross Robertson Cup 4 times Memorial Cup appearances 5 times , and Memorial Cup Champions twice. They have had Mitch Marner, 398 NHLpoints, Bo Horvat 339 NHL points, Matthew Tkachuck 327 NHLpoints, Max Domi 296 NHL points, Josh Anderson 156 NHL points and Olli Maatta 131 NHL points wow.

Wow best game ive seen out of JR Avon and wow 5 in a row not hard to see why Simpson playing well finally our coaches figured it out? What took them so long to figure it out ? Oh and a lot more discipline finally certainly helps.

Avon had a great night hardly notice him against Niagara.

A few comments on last night's game. i don't think Tullio enjoys playing against Guryev. If he wants to play Pro he must understand that the game does allow body contact. Simpson is making a huge difference to the Petes, every team needs good goaltending especially a mediocre team like the Petes. Stillman had a terrible game. The Oshawa coach completely lost control of his bench. Why would he have his stars on the ice in the last minute when there was no hope of getting the win? Only bad things can happen, suspensions etc. And why was the rookie Smith allowed to go out and fight Guryev when he was obviously so outclassed. Oshawa will regroup but one has to wonder about the direction they are getting.
