Patrick Laforge is no longer President of the Edmonton Oilers. Staff has been told. All changes to be announced at a press conf at noon MT.

I'm a little surprised Boston is allowing this to go through at the current moment, and not having everything wait until after the draft.

Considering the seasons over, Chiarelli likely knows whom the Bruins really like going into the draft. I would have thought that they would request that the working agreement not start until after then, so he doesn't give away any of their information/targrets.

Do remember the Howson and Mayorov situation of a few years back.
