1. Have some of the younger guys step up offensively. Would love to see one of Shore, Janmark, Faksa, or Nichushkin break 40 points. Tired of being a one line team.

2. Make the playoffs and win a round. After two back to back years of missing the playoffs we need to get in there and win a round.

3. Re-sign Seguin. We won’t win anything but the lottery if he walks.

1. Win the draft lottery.

2. Young players continue to develop.

3. Dump UFAs and maybe AA at the deadline.

4. Have an excellent draft again.

Kings:
1) get past the first round
2) get in the top half of goals for while remaining top 3 in goals against
3) have youth step up to show they are ready to be the next wave in charge (at least two of Toffoli, Pearson, Iafallo, Vilardi, or Kempe needs to look like a regular top 6 offensive threat)
4) have a young defenseman (early to mid-20's) take hold of a regular spot in the lineup

To go down in the record books as the first team in NHL history to not finish 31st just one season after finishing 31st.

If I end this season with any desire at all to continue watching hockey, that's a massive victory.

Laine back with Scheifele and have them stick to it. Also i hope to see Laine take his athleticism to another level. Basically i want to see a glimpse of Laine's real potential in this league and the possible duo we'll have for years to come in action.

Morrissey, Trouba and Hellebuyck to prove they can handle the load and perform again. Would go a long way having trust in that back-end in the future.

Just get back to the playoffs, don't care if it's with 97 points or 115 points. It would suck going through a season like the Oilers.

Aside from a deep playoff run, I’d be stoked if even one of the following happens:

- Doughty wins Norris #2
- Quick wins the Vezina he almost had in 2012
- Vilardi is a Calder finalist with 50+ points
- Brickley (or hell, even LaDue) became a legitimate top 4 defenseman

I'd like to see Jake Allen not have a meltdown for a month, that would be nice.

Tarasenko to take a step forward.

Schenn to repeat his awesome season

Parayko to take a step forward.

Fabbri....play some NHL hockey.

Oh and make the playoffs.

For the Wings they need the youngsters to take the next step and show that the rebuild has potential to work. Even the guys that won't make the NHLsquad need to show that they deserve to be on the team the next year.

Blashill needs to prove that he has a clue, or much more likely continues his current trend is gone at the end of the year.

Basically they need to embrace a 3-5 year plan, and play into that accordingly.

1) make playoffs
2) win round 1 of playoffs
3) win round 2 of playoffs
4) win round 3 of playoffs
5) win Stanley Cup

On a serious note, my hope is the new acquisitions become comfortable right away with the team. Neal, Hanifin, Lindholm, Ryan and Czarnik just simply need to play their game.
