I think the game he was with Sid and scored 2 goals was one of his best.

It's small sample sizes, the only thing we have much to go on with is that Kessel and Malkin don't work. Maybe Kessel can't work with a top tier centre, maybe Kessel can't work with Crosby, maybe Kessel can work with Crosby. They're refused to try.

Sid's possession numbers tank a bit though. You need his line to matchup against top players. Phil shouldn't be on the ice against that kind of competition.

I think you get the most out of this team by playing Phil away from 87/71. He can produce like he has without them and you get Phil more involved being the best player on his line.

71-87-72 sounds good to me. Or ease Geno back in with a couple WBS guys or Beau.
