He got the pass from Ruhwedel and was under siege from the very second he got the puck. That certainly wasn't an easy play and he didn't have time to "wait too long".

It's hard to compare a F to a D, but I have thought Sprong has been a lot worse than Pouliot tonight, yet I've seen 1 person comment on Sprong's turnovers.



I liked Bengtsson a lot too, personally.

you know that is true, but in sprong you have Kessel 2.0, so no one is paying attention until he scores

To elevate the puck in front of the goalie. Too easy for goalie to stop it otherwise

I don't like reading about Maatta being good as it gives me hope and its the hope that destroys you.

Sprong's played a pretty irresponsible game, but I don't really think he has anything on Pouliot's struggles. Pouliot activates when he should retreat, retreats when he should pressure, reverses to guys who are under more pressure than he is and doesn't look to get shots on net. His feel for the position is very poor for a guy entering his 4th(?) pro season.
