I wonder if Shero's plan was to acquire Goc for the fourth line. And if it wasn't, whether he actually communicated that to Bylsma or not.

Obviously the Goc trade was not about the 3rd line. DB probably demanded that Shero get his two worthless plugs (Adams and Glass) a center upgrade.

Basically Gladams needs to go because the 4th line could be pretty damn good if they didn't exist. Look at the faceoff ability in the bottom 6 for when Sutter gets manhandled and Bylsma thinks they're used to shutdown.

He's still 1-2 weeks away from the last update. I wouldn't expect him to be skating in normal line rushes until he's ready to return to a game.

Hey, Shero's mentor traded a 1st for a 4C, borderline 3C in Paul Gaustad so as far as I'm concerned the Pens made out.
