3 on 3 seems pretty basic to me. You simply don't give the puck up until you have an empty net to put it in. Throw it back to your goalie and get full-scale changes. No reason to trade chances.

They don't. I was hoping they could heat up enough to slowly improve but I'm beginning to warm up to the idea that we should be sellers at the deadline and grab whatever we can for young talent. I'm sure we will trade whatever decent players we have, if any, in order to rent a couple crappy players to try to make a push.

No.. They worked back from those. Penalties happen, and goals get scored. It was too early to blame those.
