Going to go with Riikola because he's the only one of our prospects who not only played, but apparently played very well in a meaningful role in the Men's WC. And at only 24, it's not like he's a late 20s/early 30s career Euro player who may have already peaked as a player.
I also like the following players here:
Blueger: upside only as a 4th line guy, but a quality one who can maybe temporarily step up to a 3rd line role once in a while and is a safe bet
Almari: Sexton, on his way out the door, was adamant that Almari will be an NHLer, and an invite to possibly be on a strong Finnish D-corps reinforces that, and he played well in his brief WBS stint. As a bit of a late bloomer, we have to like his trajectory.
Angello: also was impressive at the end of the season including playoffs in WBS. His combination of size and some scoring touch, gives me the feeling he could be a guy who produces at the NHL level in a middle 6 role on either W or C and certainly should have some net front PP ability.
Miletic: this guy has been so dominant offensively in the OHL, we have to give him some serious love, and I'm surprised he hasn't gotten more votes so far. The fact that the Pens' brass really likes him AND thinks he has the character and some of the intangibles & pro habits suggests he has a good chance to reach his potential -- and as an older player, could do so within a year or two, a la ZAR. Coming out of such a strong London Knights program with the Hunters at the helm also shows he was reared very well to be a pro.
