Hutton joined practice but was a extra along with Pedan.
They are both not expected to play tomorrow.
Looks like this management group still hasn't learnt a thing yet. Same **** that stunted corrados growth they are doing to Pedan. This is how you stagnate someone's development.
How long has Pedan been sitting out for?
It's not even close to what Corrado went through last year. Probably best to tone it down a tad chicken little.

If it's anyone's development that we're hindering, it's Virtanen.
You want to see actual stunted development? Toronto has left Corrado scratched for 20+ games. That's when you are actually hindering a player, not two.
Yup, Kyle Dubas and Mike Babcock look like complete buffoons the way they're ruining Frank Corrado's career.
What complete and utter incompetence on their part.
No it isn't. Pedan has been called up for two games, and his paycheck more than triples for it. You want to see actual stunted development? Toronto has left Corrado scratched for 20+ games. That's when you are actually hindering a player, not two.
So it's okay to just not play our prospects?
Why not put him in Utica instead of giving him 0 game action. He hasn't played in a week!

Because we're giving him a chance to train and practice with professional NHL players-- his eventual peers. Considering the AHL often goes with minimal games a week, he's not missing much. In fact, as I said before, a call up means his paycheck balloons from a few thousand at most to $10,000+. We're effectively rewarding him even if he doesn't play. Would I like to see him play over Weber? Sure, but it's not that big a deal.
A real reward would be to play him.
Right now he isn't learning much.
Why is every decison an inquisition.
Would like to see Pedan get at least one game during this callup. Just play a simple, straightforward game, take the body when the opportunity allows, clear the crease, protect the goalie, and make the safe plays.
That doesn't make the current situation not a "real" reward for him either.
Like has been said, he probably isn't missing much game time back in utica and is given the opportunity to experience what life is like in an nhl setting, practicing with the team, plus a nice paycheque. That is a great learning experience, and a real reward as well.

He's missed two in Vancouver. The Comets have played three. Tomorrow will be three for Vancouver. Tuesday would be 4.
The more eyeopening factor here is that Pedan is the third Comets' D-man to get a call-up. Not one game has been played by any of them. Yet the forward call-ups each got a game. The forwards didn't have to be put into the lineup any more than the D call-ups. They had ample players to use while the call-up sat in the press box. Yet, they all got a game while a Canuck sat out. What is the difference between a forward and a D-man?
I read that the games played by the forwards helped Willie to see who might be the guy he'd most select if he had to use a Comet in game situations. Wouldn't the same prove useful with the defensemen? The logic at the least is twisted.
I wish we'd play Biega and Pedan instead of Bartkowski and Weber.
