The guy is amazing. His chemistry with Panarin is out of this world. Has all the tools to be the face of the NHL, just needs to stay out of trouble. Patty - don't do anything stupid in the summer, just don't.

Best season by a player since Ovechkin's 65 goal campaign. Congrats.

My only worry is him going to Vegas to pick up all of his hardware. ;)

Currently winning the Art Ross by the biggest margin since Jagr in 98-99. Amazing.

Nice to see he ended up getting in the 105-110 range as I had predicted long ago. Offensively this is arguably the best season since full lockout.

That might be the most impressive stat of all. I think Seguin getting hurt sealed that deal slowing Benn down with him. McDavid and Malkin woulda been up there too if they could stay healthy. Regardless there's injuries in every season and likely none of them would have hit 100.

Kane probably could of won it last year had he not gotten injured. Glad he got it this year in dominating fashion.

Even in terms of points per game over the other top scorers Malkin's season was only very slightly better.

Malkin is also much better defensively than Kane

Even the haters have to give Kane his props. Hard not to realize how truly amazing the guy is.

Kane isn't winning the Selke any time soon, but that's not really true.

I agree--Kane has really improved defensively and has generated goals/assists for himself by making smart defensive plays. He's been impressive this season!! :handclap:

I didn't realize he's the first American Art Ross winner. That's nuts.

There's not many "all-star" American forwards to be fair. Here's the only American players in NHL history with better seasons than Kane.

#1: Lafontaine '93 148pts
#2: Brett Hull '91 131pts
#3: Kevin Stevens '92 123pts
#4: Brett Hull '90 113pts
#5: Kevin Stevens '93 111pts
#6: Joe Mullen '89 110pts
#7: Brett Hull '92 109pts
#8: Roenick '93 107pts
#9: Roenick '94 107pts
#10: Jimmy Carson '88 107pts
#11: Patrick Kane '16 106pts

Only Gretzky(10), Lemieux(6) and Jagr(5) won the Art Ross from 1981-2001 which were the best chances at an American Art Ross.
