Do people know that Pat Quinn was the actual chairman of the board of selection committee for the Hockey Hall of Fame?.

When he wasn't at the event he chairs you felt something was wrong and now with his passing he will be inducted into the HHOF in short order.

That's right he wasn't eligible while sitting on the selection committee nor as the chairman and he knews that. He was the grand poo ba of the hockey hall of fame. What a great last gig!

He had a great coaching career and will no doubt be in the hall of fame. But it's going to be 3 yrs wait.

He'll likely be in next year. the 3 year waiting period is for retiring players only.

I sincerely hope they don't drag their heals on getting Pat Quinn inducted! It was a real travesty that it took so long getting Pat Burns in IMHO!

I think the issue with Burns was that there was a faction of the Hall of Fame selection committee who felt that Fred Shero should be put in before Burns. That is, until Shero was put in, they weren't going to vote for Burns. Note that the year after Shero was inducted, Burns was put in.

But yeah, Quinn should go in pretty quickly.
