If the Penguins wanted Pastrnak what would it take for the Bruins to accept?

Maybe you want to get Karlsson? And first you need to find a way to make that happen and trading Pastrnak is part of that solution

Just curious, how does Boston, who has about $3M in cap space, go after Karlsson after taking on Letang ($7.25M), Brassard ($3M), ZAR ($925K), and Sprong ($750K) while only moving out Pasta ($6.7M)? Wouldn't it just be simpler for them to use Pastrnak to go after Karlsson if they so desire? (and I'm sure they don't have any desire to move Pastrnak for 1 year of Karlsson).

A very promising young player who looks like they are on the path to becoming a superstar. You think Boston is just going to up and trade that AGAIN!?

I hate it when these third wheels get overrated.

Connor isn't a 30 goal scorer without Scheifele and Wheeler.

Pastrnak isn't a 80 point player without Marchand and Bergeron.

The 3rd guy playing on a line with two elite players is usually on that line because he can't drive a line by himself.
Have you seen pasta play ? or are you trying to repress what the bruin did to you in the playoffs

Would be a great strategic move to break up the best line in hockey. I just can't understand why the Bruins don't see this:)

That package is horrendous for the bruins and if they are giving up pastranak they need great prospects/ loads of picks coming back not a bunch of random players that are terrible

god HFboards can be so cancerous sometimes. People this is all for FUN, none of us have any control over any kind of NHL transactions. Instead going straight to insults, why not answer the question: what is the VALUE Boston could get for Pastarnak. OBVIOUSLY Boston doesn't want to trade him. We all know that.

The Bruins blueline isn’t all that great and they don’t have any right shot defenseman. Their areas of right defense is pretty weak

Down the middle they are okay. Outside of Pastrnak they are weak on the wing with only Bergeron.

Kris Letang
Derrick Brassard
Daniel Sprong
Zachary Aston-Reese

And then you work pieces to Ottawa such as Jarry in a Erik Karlsson deal. Adding Letang and Karlsson to what you got makes you much better on the blueline. Sprong gives you a wing that can fill part of what Pastrnak offers. Zachary Aston-Reese is a solid NHL player. Putting some of these pieces together plus whatever you want to add from what you already got gives you Karlsson. In Lehman’s term, Letang and Karlsson for Pastrnak

Didn't even have to read the thread to know that this would be terrible. Neither team does this.

I don’t think the Pens have the guy to even correctly start a proposal like this.

A slightly younger Malkin for him would probably be it. But the Pens wouldn’t trade a centre Like Malkin for any winger not named Ovechkin. So ya.

Edit because they’ve been good and chasing cups. Like they should be doing

Are you purposely trying to be disingenuous?

I may have intentionally undersold him a bit but it doesn't change the fact that he doesn't return a #1D, 2C, 2 top prospects, a starter, and a 1st.

Posters here need to check themselves in a psych ward if they think he does.

So the deal is:

#1D
2C
Two blue chip prospects
A future potential starter
1st round pick

for a

Good, young top 6 wing

How can the Penguins possibly say no?

lmao Boston would probably give you a 1st round pick to give Letang #1D minutes against them if they meet the Pens in the playoffs.

Are you lost?

Weak on the right side? They have Mcavoy, Carlo, Miller
Weak on wing besides pasta? I think Marchand plays for the Bruins and Bergeron is not a winger.

You're just lost
