Clearly the COG knows that they're doing something that will either A.) piss off their constituents royally....or B.) require liberal bending of the law....
They are waiting until the very last second to put anything on paper (if anything even makes it to the stage of being put on paper) because they know that the second anything is written down, it's open to challenges and available to be perused by anyone who wishes to see it. Are we to believe that in all of this time in negotiations with three parties interested in buying the team, going all the way back to the bankruptcy ruling, there's only a handful of documents?
Hardly.
If the issues are SO complex that they need to be discussed for months and months and months, how would anyone keep anything straight without at least taking some notes or writing something down. They know that this thing stinks to high heaven and they're trying to keep up the shell game and have everything be out of sight and (hopefully) out of mind for as long as possible. It's worked up to this point but the people of the COG, the people on the BOG and the higher-ups in the NHL won't put up with it forever and the deadline is closing in. People are going to start wanting answers soon and I'm still not convinced that Hulsizer will be the guy to give those answers...
Time for a new thread already. It just seems like yesterday that this one started..
