Why ****ing not? MaxPac and DD are not far off their regular grossly insufficient pace of production yet monopolising all the best offensive minutes. They could have maybe given us in the best case scenario a couple of additional goals. That's it. Our two bottom lines can't score.... Where are all those goals going to come from! We look real good because we're good in shootouts... As far I know the NHL has no plans in changing the playoff format to add shootouts. At real hockey, we get outscored like the worst teams in the league.

You actually think we're going to score 1 goal a game for the rest of the year? Did you even watch the Habs last year? Because they had a slump of 7 goals in 6 games, but guess what happened? They recovered from it! You're just overreacting to slump like most of this board. People need to calm down and realize that this team will get out of this slump soon.

They will score more than 1 goal for the rest of the season because they'll make radical adjustments at some point. They can"t stay the course.

Yea I like Parenteau too. He has his deficiencies, but he's sneaky good in the offensive zone; goes to the right spots, has a deceiving shot, decent vision, and he has a little edge to his game.

I liked him more with Galchenyuk - Plekanec however. I'm not sold on Galch-Gallagher's chemistry anymore. Gally tends to hold the puck for too long and his playbook is very limited, as in you know exactly where he's going to put the puck. Galchenyuk and Parenteau were making great plays together all over the offensive zone. And Pap thrives when playing with a guy who can carry the play.

Gallagher is play killing on that line. Either dig for DD or go to the net with Eller. Chucky is a rush open space player.

From the break of camp I've wanted Sekac Eller Gallagher as our 3rd line.
Jerry on the LW (he is a left winger everyone) just let them figure it out.
They would get broken up eventually as MT would steal parts for his pet project.

Patches - DD - Sekac
Chucky - Plek - PAP
Bourque - Eller - Gally
Prust - Malhotra - Weiss

That's what I want to see too!
Sekac has the potentiel to be a poor man Erik Cole
Chucky - Plek - PAP : They played well together
Bourque - Eller - Gallagher : Three players that can cycle the puck.

This is where our lack of talent at the RW position becomes apparent. I believe Gally's game is best suited for Eller's line, but that leaves us with Weise on the top 2 lines...

I keep thinking there's got to be a way to work a Semin deal where we aren't left exposed in the last 2 yrs of his deal. The Canes must be squirming to move the guy.

If it weren't for that monstrous contract I'd be all over Semin.

Scherbak may be an option next year... He can't play AHL until 2016-2017 from what I understand.

McCarron and Ghetto are also listed as RWers.

Top 6 should be

Patches-Pleks-Sekac
Chucky - Lars - Gally

Moen-Malhotra-Weise - specialists for faceoffs and penalty kills

Bournival-DD-Parenteau - specialists for shootouts and RDS interviews

Err...if we are making Eller 2nd C...might as well just make Chucky our 2nd C...

as for our shoot out specialist line...umm... doesn't Eller have a good shoot out record? (Sorry, fuzzy memory)....so Eller, DD, Parenteau?

Forgive me if I'm wrong but j believe due to birtjdate that scherbak is AHL eligible next season

There's obviously a hole on the 'first' line with Pacioretty and Desharnais. Sekac could be an option but if it doesn't work, at one point, they should try someone in Hamilton (Thomas or Andrighetto).

Pacioretty-Desharnais-Sekac/Andrighetto/Thomas
Galchenyuk-Plekanec-Parenteau
Prust/Bourque-Eller-Gallagher
Moen/Prust-Malhotra-Weise

MB has to bite the bullet soon on some of this dead wood...

Wooow this team sucks.

Gotta pick it up, or else we get a really good draft pick.

He may be junior eligible but still AHL eligible.. Maybe someone like Montreal can clarify.

He's drafted from the CHL so he's subject to the CHL rule. Scherbak is a December 30th birthday, so he is just old enough to only have to play one more CHL season before he is AHL eligible (The cut off date for the AHL is Jan. 1 while for draft eligibility its Sept. 15). He'd basically be as young as you can get coming from the CHL to the AHL

One more after his draft year or after this season?
