Last year’s Forbes list of the world’s billionaires included slightly more than 2,100 people, and just 13 are black. Four are American: Jordan ($1.9 billion), entertainment industry maven Oprah Winfrey ($2.5 billion); Robert Smith, the founder of private equity firm Vista Equity Partners ($5 billion); and World Wide Technology co-founder David Steward ($3.5 billion).
