Would trade him + for an upgrade... Since ducks seem to be in contention for a playoff spot I doubt that they'd want to part with a player who would be useful for the panthers (Lindholm is the only one I can think of)

Ideally a top 4 LD, but we don't think The Cats(realistically) have what it will take to get that, or at least nothing they are willing to part with(see Lundell, Anton)

More realistically, a 4-5 LD with a physical presence that isn't a just a pylon, a Soucy, or Larsson(Arizona), or maybe a Dillon type.

Yes and no, I'm saying I don't want to have to give up a 1st round pick, and I think...given the amount of potential competition for Chiarot...The Habs will get a 1st for him, so I'd prefer Zito to go in another direction, but, we'll see.

Devils have Ty Smith . We have a few LHD prospects coming (Luke Hughes , Shakir , Bahl , Okhotyuk ) with Graves and Seigenthaler already on the left and a massive need for forwards.
Not sure if Panthers have any need for a LHD though with Smiths toolkit. He doesn’t hit .

Could definitely see Vancouver being in on this. Jim seems all worked up to make himself some trades, and a young goal-scorer with unrealized potential on a cheap contract seems like the sort of gamble the Canucks can actually afford to take. Don't really know what the return would look like though.
