Also he is playing for Tampa, a team that is trying to win a cup.

Whereas we apparently built a bad team by accident on purpose in order to tank for a good pick. I just learned this today.

Bergevin has been playing 6 d chess all along!

Sergachev is still raw defensively. But he is explosive. Very Subban-like in a lot of ways. High energy player, deadly shot, big body. With time and experience in the NHL, he can be seriously good.

As of right now, David Desharnais would be our leading goalscorer if he were still here.

Really makes you think...

Well he did get a couple of years of practice learning how to become an effective first line center under MT. Now, say we take another center, i.e. Galchenyuk, and give him the same 4-5 years of experience as a first line center that DD acquired over the years, Chucky could actually have the same points total as DD. But that's not within the realm of possibilities because Galchenyuk has been and still is developed as a 3rd/4th line winger. Oh well, good for DD I guess :help:

Sergachev-Subban should have been our 1st pairing for the next few years if it wasn't for Bergevin

Sergachev with 2 tonight. Imagine having Subban on the first D pairing and then Sergachev? Could have been nice, especially on the PP. Bergevin is a genious.

Should have traded Patches + 2nd round pick for Drouin, kept Serg + Subban and... ??? = Big time profit!

Subban-Markov
Sergachev-Petry
Emelin-Mete

The opposition is forced to be on their toes against each and every pairing. Instead, we don't even have one D pairing that can sustain pressure against the opposition right now.:ha:
