Also next season they will have to pay Aho his UFA contract, because Bergy offered him only 5 years. Edmonton isnt matching the speed of Vancouver. Add in being very careless with puck in their own zone, leaving points to walk right down to faceoff circles for clean looks

Vancouver's GDT is absolutely toxic. No Vancouver Canucks has ever taken a proper penalty ever. It's all refs are idiots or player dived, etc.

We do that a bit, but for the most part we blame our players.

They played him, what? 30 minutes in game 3. And how many times in the regular season did he hit 25 minutes or more? I don't care how great of a player he is, he takes a ton of punishment and his body will feel it and begin to break down. He just looks tired.

Most often when they do, the puck ends up darting out of the offensive zone.

Plus, by the time the shooter winds up to unleash his shot, opposition bodies are already in position to block it before it gets to the net.
