Washington is coasting out there most nights plus they are missing their #1 d-man. Caps are the favourite and will be against anyone in the East. Tampa is the scariest for them in my opinion. They are on a roll right now. If we get a Rags/Isles first round, I would take NYI in a tight series.

NYb won't knock out the Rags.
It may be a long series but Lundy will beat them.

Islanders goaltending is a big question mark.

Halak is a one hit wonder and Greiss is a backup that's having an unsustainably high career year.

Gonna miss Stempniak being on the team next year, because I think he re-signs with Boston. Was nice having him. One of the few Devils forwards the past few years who didn't disappoint, but he's gone to a better place I suppose.

Are you saying we should have not traded him?

Me? Not really. I would've been okay with trading him or not. I did think that if we traded him, though, we did have to be comfortable with the possibility of not being able to re-sign him, and that's what it looks like will happen. I'll miss Stempniak next year, assuming he doesn't re-sign, but we got a good return for him, as I said at the time of the trade. That return could be packaged to get us a forward at the draft or actually used to draft players, so we'll have to see how the return is ultimately used in order to know for sure whether the trade was good or bad, but the return for Stempniak was fine.

Stemp wins it in OT for Boston. Beautiful wrist shot.

Yes I'm saying we should not have traded him. Because I think the end of the season is already feeling like the pits for Jersey. And he's the difference. I would have preferred to keep the winning feel, the sense that this was a constructive season, instead of a bad taste in one's mouth (I fear) all summer.

As opposed to a second round pick two years out.

Miss ya' Stemp.
