The way the draft is shaking out I would love to trade down from #22.

Would be an insanely tough sell to the fan base to move their highest pick since Chris Phillips for picks outside of the top-10.

What part of "Obviously it depends who's left on board but I'm just spit ballin' some ideas. Not saying OTT, MTL, DET or NYI should/would do this either." didn't you get?

And I'm aware that the drop from 4-10 isn't that big, hence why as a Sens fan I'd be willing to do it. But since the Islanders are losing JT, I think they would need multiple picks to surround Barzal going forward.
Quit acting as there is a huge drop off between 4th and 11th/12th.
There isn"t.

If the Sens trade down to lets say a 10th or later pick, can they give that pick to the Avs instead of next years 1st? If so, it's an interesting develpment to watch out for. Sens get an additional asset by trading down and they give the 2018 1st (10+ pick) to the Avs instead of the 2019 1st.
I was wondering that too but I believe it has to be their own pick. Otherwise they'd just give Colorado the 22nd pick.

I would be interested in moving up to 4th, but I wouldn't give up 11th and 12th for 4th.

Maybe something like 4 and 22 for 11,12, and a 2nd round pick.

Would Ottawa be interested in trading up? 22 + 64 to move up to 17?

Ottawa has moved up a few times with NJ as a partner and Shero will probably look to add picks after losing his 2nd and 3rd.

If you're looking for an extra pick, I'd probably be willing to see Rangers do Boston's 1st, and 48th for the 22th, depending on who's on the board and if I think Rangers can wait to grab them a few picks later.

The Senators don't have a 2nd or 3rd in the upcoming draft, so a trade up seems unlikely.

You really need reading and comprehension lessons fast. You didn't read a single word I typed.

I understand that it's a heavy ask (which is why I understand NYI not doing this) but I think it would more likely be our 4th + 2nd 2019/prospect instead of both our firsts.

The cost of moving from 11th to 4th is much greater than the cost of moving from 22nd to 12th.

I'd like the Sens to listen to offers on 4OA from the teams in the positions of 5 to 9. Chances are there's at least two teams in there that have their eyes on the same player and potentially one that would be willing to move up to grab him. I think the tier of defencemen behind Dahlin could all go by 9OA so I'd prefer the Sens not to drop beyond that.

As for the 22OA, I'm all for maximizing 2nd round picks so I hoep the Sens would be open business to the best offer made.

I disagree, IMO there is the big 3 and than a group of 6-8 players that could be drafted in any order. But I can understand your rational.

I don't have any interest in Detroit trading 33 + 36 for 22. Looking back on past drafts, there is never a difference in quality and there is a trend of 1-2 impact players being drafted somewhere in the 20-40 range each year. Would rather have 2 shots at it then one.

There isnt really any sense for Isles to trade both picks for 4th. Difference after top 3 and around top 10 isnt that big.
