The shootout is the biggest gimmick in the nhl. Hockey is suppose to be a team sport.

They're irrelevant to making the playoffs. Only Regulation and Overtime wins are counted if it comes down to a tie between teams. It's just a point to pad your totals down the stretch, if you get 82 shootout points and no other wins you're toast.

You've made it more than clear your stance on the shootout...again and again. It stinks that they can't seem to get it done in the shootouts but a team that boasts the individual talents of Spezza, Karlsson, Ryan, and Turris, back-stopped by Lehner really isn't put at any disadvantage for this "individual" aspect of the game. Every sport has an individual aspect to it. It's up to those individuals to help their team.
