No, he stepped down in order to coach B-C.
He didn't step down, Mondou just didn't signed him as his contract was expired.
Mondou and him couldn't work together anymore.

Veilleux and Shawinigan mutually agreed to part ways.
None better than Joe Canale. He went after some Chicoutimi fans with a stick when he was in Sherbrooke. At least I think it was in Chicoutimi, my memory sucks. He didn't get "canned", and it was not because they couldn't work together anymore. He had just won the memorial cup and he has aspirations of coaching at the pro level. He did not want to be part of a complete rebuild.
What you saw is one of the worst displays you will ever see! however, if you think that he is the only coach to do that, or one of a only a few, then people need to step back. This is a big thing because it was on video and made TSN highlights, etc..etc.
If you talk to people who have been in the league a long time, they will gladly share you stories of Groulx, Therrien, Martel, Burns....the list goes on. They all had there share of blow ups, that included throwing water bottles, climbing partitions, throwing dry erase boards, hockey sticks, garbage cans, gum.
Get over it - it was wrong, it was emotion coming out. Pretty sure he doesn't need anyone to explain to him it was wrong
