Well, the Sabres play the Flyers again on Wednesday so if they don’t die of sadness they can try again. Then Buffalo has two games against the Rags and then we have our last two against them.

It will never stop being funny that Taylor Hall made a big deal about wanting to win and signed a 1 year deal with Buffalo.
And has fewer goals than Andreas Johnsson, among many other bums around the league.

What’s next for him this off-season? A multi year deal in Detroit?

And Elliott looked like he wanted to give them the game.

The first two goals on him were the softest I’ve seen so far tonight.

Funny thing about this particular moment tonight was that he had the puck on his stick to take it himself for the open net but he passed it to a teammate who had a Flyer attached to his hip. lol.

He was gloriously on for both the tying and winning goals, and lost his check both times. The Isles need a LW to replace Lee, but I cannot imagine Lou allowing that level of stink to join his team.

Btw, Skinner should be burnt in effigy after giving up on a 2-on-1 after dishing, and not having his stick on the ice for the return tap in. How terrible do you have to be? I would just waive him to get rid of him in the Ahl.

Fun fact. We started this losing streak.
And to think that for a while that win over them that started their streak was our only win for quite a few games. I think we went on an extended losing streak after that, before snapping it in the last 1-0 victory in Boston that Wedgewood played.

And we’ve won a bunch of games since then, even with a couple bad losing streaks and they ain’t won since.

Goals against review for tonight’s games

Flyers vs Sabres: 3 goals against Elliott, 2 stoppable. 4 goals against Ullmark, no chance on any.

Islanders vs Penguins: 2 goals against Varlamov, no chance on either. 1 goal against DeSmith, no chance.

Oilers vs Maple Leafs: 2 goals against Smith, 1 stoppable. 3 goals against Hutchinson, no chance on any.

Ducks vs Avalanche: 5 goals against Miller, 1 stoppable. 2 goals against Grubauer, no chance on either.

Kings vs Golden Knights: 4 goals against Quick, no chance on any. 1 goal against Lehner, no chance.

Jets vs Flames: 1 goal against Hellebuyck, no chance. 4 goals against Markstrom, no chance on any. 1 goal against Rittich in relief and it’s stoppable.

Wild vs Sharks: 3 goals against Talbot, 1 stoppable. 3 goals against Jones, 1 stoppable.

So that’s 39 goals scored on goalies, 7 are stoppable. That’s 18% of the goals scored were stoppable. Combined save percentages were .903%.

We beat them again later on to help extend it. Think it was like their 8th or 9th lose in a row.

I can’t stress enough that we helped create the streak by taking out Ullmark for a month. He was 5-4-2 before his injury, with a win and a SO loss against the Caps and a win and a OT loss against the Rangers, to go with his three wins over us.

Buffalo’s three other goalies are a combined 1-18-2, Ullmark at least gives them a chance to end this nightmare (but not yet alas).
