Evening folks...............

Adam Gaudette a great 2nd year, young guy, 33 points this year on track for 38 points in a full 82, his up side is a mid to low 2nd line center. Age 23. Hoby Baker winner. Stuck behind Pettersson and Horvat. No power play time to speak of. (Currently 3rd line center, improving year over year) Weakness, defense

That is the sell (good or bad, take it or leave it!)

Here is the ask...............................

We are looking for a center with maybe not so much ceiling, but very strong defensively/ good on faceoffs. His upside should be 3rd line center 22 to 24 years old, who is scoring at a 30 point pace/over 82 games.

Basically Offense for Defense

Any canidates ? One for one.

Seriously?

Yeah he paced for 27 points this season and even better in the AHL. Very sound defensively but can chip in offensively too.

Did you really think the Wild would give up Eriksson Ek for Gaudette? Ek is barely worse offensively and astronomically better defensively.

Say what now? Kid had 12 PP points this year. At even strength he's a healthy scratch

I mean you probably arent getting a 38pt C for a 30ishpt C that is much better defensively

I can see Gaudette moved for a young dman with upside

I mean wild aren't trading a realreagood young shutdown c for Gaudette, & no team will trade a good young d for Gaudette

Ppl overlook that Adam Gaudette only averaged 12min/game, yet still was on pace for 38pts. I can see the Canucks playing him in a more offensive role as a 2RW if they can't re-sign Tyler Toffoli.

He got 12 pts on the PP

Remove that, his stats was around the same as last year.

He’s a nothing is special about player.

Sure you could trade him for a similar age AHL/NHL waiver clearing player.

What row in the seats is he sitting in tonight?

What a player paced for in 6 games is completely irrelevant lmao

Again Gaudette isn't better than Ek. At least EK is a complete Shutdown C who superstars hate playing against, & EK essentially dictates what players like Eichel, McDavid, etc. Can do against wild. Ek literally get up in their Hrills & Superstars like Eichel get pissy, &rough up Ek knowing Ek doesn't fight

12 pp points on the 2nd unit that has offensively inept players like Brandon Sutter.

He would be Buffalo’s 2C

He’s 25 with 8 career games lol. If that’s the price the Oilers would easily top that with Haas.

Haha, why remove it when those points were earned? Instead, imagine how many points he'd have if he played 20+min/game instead of 12min.

Not too sure which row he sat in, but I'm guessing he was sitting w/ the other injured players as he hasn't been cleared to play yet.

Hey guys.......I like Gaudette and yeah if he plays the minutes as Ek the point spread is a lot bigger

So Ek scored at a .47 rate playing 15:43 minutes per game
Gaudette scored at a .56 rate playing 12:23 minutes per game

So some simple math says that
Ek gets 38.54 points per 82 games
Gaudette gets 46 points per 82 games

Now when you look at the playing time 15.43 vs 12.23. EK plays 20% more.
So if you increase Gaudette's scoring by 20%, it looks a little different again.

Then Ek is at his 38.54 points per 82 games
and Gaudette is at a pro-rated 55.20 points per 82 games

It's all numbers, but Gaudette is a pretty solid offensive 2nd year player
as is Ek being a pretty solid defensive player. 55 points is 2nd line points on most teams

Can you name me a center on Minni that has had 55 points in the last 3 years?
And what line did he play on?

I will say this though...........I loved EK's play during our series
And he does play a valuable role on your team...........but none of your centers shut down our guys
So, maybe there is a bigger deal that makes both teams happy..........

Again, before I push a bigger trade.......I think the gap between Gaudette and EK is closer than you think.

What about a wopper????????????

EK and Dumba
for
Virtanen, Gaudette and Demko

This is beyond comical Wild say no , & hang up the phone laughing

Wild point blank aren't dealing Ek, or trading Ek for Gaudette; much less adding Dumba for trash in winger Jake v. Wild don't need Demko either. My gosh

Again you aren't factually correct. . I am going to guess you are a Vancouver fan to be thinking wild would trade a stud shutdown c in Ek for Gaudette who hadn't done crap & didn't even play In the series.

Also wild don't need anymore wingers especially a potential bust like jake V. Wild also doesn't need Demko when they already have Kaapo kahkonen, Mat Robson, & Hunter jones.

C is a need for wild. To think wild would trade a young good c in Ek for a 12 point c in Gaudette, especially for a player who is being benched is so Beyond unrealistic
