Frank did an interview on the Flames Nation YouTube channel and near the end of one of clips that they posted they get into where Lindholm fits in the league in terms of #1 centers, after that Frank says that he believes Lindholm will either sign by draft week or be traded.

If he's traded where does he go?

Makes sense for the Canes to get him back. They only want to add contracts that end after this season since they have so many big contracts to deal with next summer, and Lindy fills a pretty big hole in the lineup as a 2C.

The Canes have a ton of prospects and some picks to use if it’s a futures deal.

Not if he's extended. Jersey extended Severson before they traded him.

That was different because Severson had less than a year left on his deal.

As of today Lindholm: has more than 1 year left on his deal technically amyway.

Yeah, either they'll have agreed to a deal in principal or he's gone. I would assume the same could be said for Hanifin and maybe some of other UFA's like Toffoli & Backlund.

Minnesota will be in on this. Cap hit is manageable for the player and next year they have Zucc ($6M), Foligno ($3.1M), Fleury ($3.5M), and Goligoski ($2M) all coming off the books. No major RFA or UFA to sign. Following year they will have even more cap space with the dead cap dropping way down.

Welcome to Colorado.
Colarado is favoured to win all the marbles in 2024 according to the Hockey Guy.

They're losing Compher (unless he resigns).

Adding Lindholm to go along with McKinnon, and Rantanen down the middle would make them very formidible indeed. Of course, Lindholm can also play RW to give some added flexibility.

2023 1st, 2024 1st, and Newhook.
