I like Neal moved to McDavid's wing. McDavid elevates everyone's play and Neal as a volume shooter might help to simplify that line's play with his shoot first mentality. Getting Neal going again would help this team. Draisaitl at 3C should be able to get favourable match ups while also some development time at centre, hopefully, also requiring that he simplify his game with greater defensive responsibility in the pivot position. Will also keep Draisaitl fresher for cherry PP minutes riding McDavid's wing which is critical.

Gagner in small doses can provide a bit of energy to the second line. Nuge and he can play okay off one another in short situations. Khaira is a strange add but if good Khaira shows up can add some size and corner work for the flyweights.

The Rangers, after some reset practices, is a good opposition to experiment with a line-up that fell into an elevator shaft in November and December.
