Teams could play a week straight and they will still come out and work harder.

Chirelli/McLellan have their work cut out for them, but it really seems to be a confidence and motivation issue. We've seen Lander play so well, we thought we could count on him to be solid this year. We've seen Fayne play as a steady d for us. Sekera was a sought after d, fans were happy to sign Talbot and Nillson. There is something in that dressing room that is messing with the guys heads. We get so excited when a new player comes in and calls out the guys for giving up, then that player gets squashed under the Oiler logo. The confidence the team had just from McDavid on the team made each line better. They need to find other motivation to win. If you are used to losing year after year it has to be difficult to keep your expectations up. Messier needs to get off the phone and walk into the dressing room and threaten everybody.

We had Dubnyk. We have Talbot who looked like a God on good teams. There's no goalie on the planet who would look good behind our AHL tier defence.
