The last time a team finished with 17 wins or less?

The 1999-2000 Atlanta Thrashers with 14.

Discuss.
Just to make it worse, the Oilers are on pace for two shootout wins, something the Thrashers didn't have an opportunity at. So this team is on pace for one more regulation + OT win than Atlanta. :propeller

Any figures on how many single game tickets the Oilers are selling this season, and at what price, versus the ticket sales of the Thrashers in 1999?

I actually think 17 wins is a bit of an overestimate. They're at 8 wins now due to some lucky breaks they had earlier on in the season, they're winning about twice every 14 games (see November and December) for a win % of like 14.28%, that equates to 6.88 wins by game 82. So, I think 14-15 wins is more likely. Given the inevitable removal of NHL capable players from the team over time (see Perron), and the fact that teams are going to be pushing for playoff spots over the next few months, it could drop below even that. This team will go down as one of the worst NHL teams in NHL history.

We have a better win percentage as of late

It will be tough, but maybe this team will find a way to be even worse than the Atlanta Thrashers. They'll just need to have more 11 game losing streaks.

I'm honestly hoping for some record setting. Not because of McDavid/Eichel, but because that might finally get management purged.

Nelson has them playing better than they have all season. Sucks for him that this group has is on his record. I believe that next season the roster will look completely different, and we'll finish around 9th. Without Taylor Hall
