You can't just fire Eakins. You need to move players as well. Unfortunately, MacT is incompetent and wants to put the weight of the world on rookies who aren't ready for the big show or pay big bucks for pylons like Nikitin. Eakins has to take a lot of blame as well, but MacT is the one shaping this team. He can't sit on his hands forever.

Well, at first I was extremely angry and wanted to smash things. Then, as this went on game by game, I suddenly felt a wave of serenity. I now smile even when the Oilers lose.

I don't see how the Oil could lose..Wasn't Marincin in? Wasn't it the opinion of hords of people here that Eakins was an idiot for not having Marincin in and that was the reason the Oilers couldn't win? LOL..
The Oil need to change the entire core..Very few players should remain. Trade 'em all..The culture and work ethic stinks. Outside the 4th line no one has a clue how to remove someone from the play.,,can't hit worth a damn..skates around like a bunch of entitled prima-donnas..Not going to the dirty areas, afraid of other players, not hitting or getting in their faces, no one in front of the net, can't win board battles, letting opposition skate by them without contact, avoiding contact completly.
