I think it's just people speculating about post season hopes but not trying to get too expectant. No need to read complacency or losing acceptance into it.

I thought they were forechcking pretty well but they really can't create any space for themselves to make a play. A lot of that is on the D not being able to break the puck out of the zone without a forward coming back, part of it is a lack of size and grit, but coaching too. The top lines were generating nothing.....maybe one or two chances all game.

The play in the last 3 games qualifies as a funk. They are in a funk. All of them. Coaches, forwards, D. The goalies are ok.

At the end of the Hawks broadcast they mentioned that we have played 19 or our 33 games against the top 10 teams in the league. Only being a few games under .500 after that is huge progress for this team. Also, McDavid is going to kill it down the stretch against weaker competition. I'm looking forward to that.
