It's not the players losing anything, just the ability of teams to regroup year after year.

I agree its a good system if a player is ******** the bed see ya, but at same time it would never get past the NHLPA would be longest lockout ever.

Goaltending has improved vastly since we traded away the Dude.

We've seen a bunch of undeserved wins since then. That is promising, worrying, and (hopefully) eye-opening.

We all know lots of changes in personnel are required but in the meantime, we need to fix our special teams.

How did we drop so dramatically from last year? Kreuger?

We have a potential top 5 pp. Where has it gone?

We've scored about 6 less goals and allowed 4 more. Hardly the issue with this club.

Well, last year we were tied for 7th in the league at 20.1%

Now we sit 19th at 17.2%

That is quite significant. Cashing in on opportunities changes the dynamic of the game and gives the goalie/team a lead when it's otherwise tied or trailing.

It's one of many areas we need to improve on and it's an area that doesn't require trades. This is an internal issue.

We've allowed 10 shorties this year, I believe it was 1 last season.

anyone who thinks their PP is only slightly worse than last year isn't watching. it is so inept, the opponent usually has all the momentum by the time it is over.

I don't know what they are doing, and neither do the players or the coaches. they seem to be just winging it out there.

Yep... hard to defend that PP... they've scored 35 but with 10 SH against that's a net effect of 25 goals on the PP... tied for 6th worst in the league.

They are also tied for 5th worst in the league in net PPGA... 38 against with 3 shorties scored for a net of 35 against.

Both the PK and PP have definitely gone downhill this season and generally that's an area you can point to the HC and assistants for blame... of course the crappy early season goaltending didn't help any either.
