I think McDavid-Draisaitl will torch Marincin-Holl for a couple tonight. Marincin always comes back to earth.

Will need some goals for sure.

Bobby Mc just gave an interesting stat...Marincin and Holl have not allowed a 5v5 goal since the Muzzin injury. Is Holl really that good to make Marincin look decent? Lol

Marincin has always been decent. That's why he has kept a job.

Marincin-Holl is a whole lot of wingspan. They just have to deny McDavid a lane to come streaking in and force him to play a slower attack. The Oilers don't score unless they're trading chances at full speed.

They should. What's so funny about that?
So we should trade our second leading scoring defenseman when we are pushing for the playoffs because....reasons? Just because he is a UFA you dont just trade them to trade them cause it's the deadline.

Anyone else getting annoyed by Bob Mckenzie this year. I have no idea what he means about beating the house. Tampa bay last year literally sustained the whole season by just beating everyteam. Than the blues aftee coach change legit came from last place to winning the cup... So imo thats beating the house. Why cant the leafs do it

No you trade him because he is going to be priced out if our budget and he is a defensive liability , the same reason Colorado dealt him , for us trading him at the tdl means he doesn't walk for free , do try to keep up .

They should explore as the post I quoted mentioned.

You're not really in a position to tell anyone to keep up if you're legitimately suggesting going into the playoffs with Ceci and Holl as your only 2 RHD with NHL experience.

What if he can return a better player?

Not going to happen no matter if you trade him to a buyer or a seller.

A buyer won’t give you a better player in return and a seller won’t want to give you a better player in return.

Marincin-Holl hasn't let in an ES goal in 4 games. They've been going up against some tough competition too.

They can thank Hutch for bailing them out after that brutal giveaway by Marty on Saturday. We're playing with fire if we expect them to go up against McJesus.

It’s like team chemistry doesn’t matter at all either. Hey let’s just trade everyone that can give us a slight upgrade on paper, that’s how you be a great team right?

Petrillo on Leafs lunch saying that the Leafs should think of trading Barrie at the TDL! Lol.

It's not as crazy as it sounds. If we can get a solid defensive defenceman that can skate in return, we would be better off to be honest. We just need Rielly to get back into form.

It wouldn't necessarily have to be a 1 for 1 trade. They could move him to a team with a need and use those assets to trade with another team.
There is zero harm in exploring a trade.

You never know if you don't look. Two options Dubas needs to look at.

A: Trade him either individually or in a package for an equal value guy on another playoff team who might be a better fit for our team's needs (a right handed defensive d-man who can play with Rielly)

B: Sell him to a contender in the west and then use those assets to acquire another d-man who better fits our team's needs (a right handed defensive d-man who can play with Rielly)

Y'all are tripping if you think Barrie is getting dealt for another defenseman

Dubas is committing to making it work for him here. And Barrie's actually been great under Keefe. He also happens to be a key component of our league-leading PP.
