Virtanen and Gaudette have seen such abysmal minute distribution and line mates that I’m not surprised their offense dried up.

I actually thought Virtanen looked pretty good tonight. But then, “offensive player put in position to succeed starts to find success”

Yeah, I don’t hate him. He’s the wrong coach for where this team and roster are at at the moment, but he’s not a bad guy and - IMO - still has a bright future as a coach ahead of him.

That motte one is huge. Cheap, 4th line, very strong penalty killer, endless motor, and finds a solid contribution offensively for his role.

I'll admit I hated that deal but the guy is full effort and exactly what you want from that spot.

I thought both top 2 lines were creating scoring chances. I think Miller replacing Pearson would be better though. Horvat and Virtanen need a playmaker.
