2 more real NHL players and the Oilers have a full NHL Roster for the first time since EVER. Is the tank, hm rebuild over finally? How some of the past rosters were even allowed to compete in the NHL and not kicked back to the AHL is beyond me. If anyone wants some help digging the 8 year knife out of your back, the line is over there at the rexall pharmacy pickup.

So are the 2 missing players Pronger and Peca? I'm going to predict that we won't be adding players of that level this season.

There's a more realistic look at the blanks. Or even moreso,

And we're going to plug in Arcobello, Lander, Draisaitl or a waiver pickup in those spots, so unless we get an unexpected breakout performance of 45-55 points out of one of those guys, we're still not looking great despite having much better wing depth.

I agree with you man, I'm just saying let's hope we don't have to play out this scenario where RNH is injured.

I think: RNH - Arco - Drai - Gordon can be a competitive center depth.

That being said, in response to OP I think we are, in fact, two players away:

Yet the Lightning somehow made the playoffs without Stamkos for most of the year. The Flyers are a borderline team and without Giroux they miss the playoffs. The Capitals are barely borderline and definitely miss the playoffs if Ovechkin is out. We are at best bottom feeders and with an RNH injury we're definitely picking first or second again this year. No depth at all at center. Maybe that's not that bad, we can get one more piece in this deep draft, but it does mean this season is once again a write off and not worth watching.

Even your scratches should be NHL quality tho.

When you can choose between scratching a PP specialist on D VS a shutdown guy, then you have an NHL roster.

The Oilers have the worst center depth in the league WITH RNH. That's how bad the situation is.
If he gets injured for any length of time, might as well plan the McDavid draft party.

We're all in the same location, some version of hockey hell.
The difference is that you and I have come to terms with it and have accepted our residence in the depths of hockey purgatory. :D:cry:
