No because when Desharnais comes back, Stetcher will be out and Ceci will still be inIf Stecher scores two goals will we stop whining about not trading for Walker?

Not a bad comparison. Nurse did well with Bear because Bear was good at retrieving the puck and quick zone exits. Ceci is bottom of the league in both those categories. Bear was also good against the rush as well. If Stetcher can do those things (his analytics shows he does them well) you may have a good pair.I've often viewed Stetcher in a somewhat similar light to Ethan Bear with slightly better puck movement and a bit less of a shot.
Arguably Nurse's best results were with Bear except in playoffs.
Here's hoping..... (especially as Stecher's playoff stats are actually pretty decent for a limited sample size).
I’d run Pickard tonight and Skinner Thursday night.
Glad to see Knobby reads HFOil.
Ceci needs to clean it up. 3rd line is slow AF. Need Holloway up here as Colorado exposed our lack of speed. It’s a problem. Fix it up KK!
I think Pickard should be starting this game
I don't think that's necessary. We're playing a metric shit ton of games in the next couple weeks so Pickard's going to play plenty. Thursday will only be Skinner's third game in 11 days so you want to keep him engaged as your starter, then we go through the 9 games in 15 days stretch where we likely need at least 3 games out of Pickard. Here's how I'd split the games:If Pickard wins tonight do we start him next game ?
I still think Skinner is 100 % our guy heading into the playoffs but Pickard has good numbers this season too.
They will whine about something else then.If Stecher scores two goals will we stop whining about not trading for Walker?
Yeah, I don't think it matters what Stecher does. They seem married to the idea of a Ceci-Desharnais right side and I think it's a big mistake but,....we'll see.No because when Desharnais comes back, Stetcher will be out and Ceci will still be in
People always warn me about marriage…Yeah, I don't think it matters what Stecher does. They seem married to the idea of a Ceci-Desharnais right side and I think it's a big mistake but,....we'll see.
Why? Skinner looked pretty fresh and solid last game, and will not have played for 5 days. Not sure what winning or losing has to do with it. It's about management at this point in the season. If Pickard wins tonight do we start him next game ?

They need to swallow their mistake and demote Brown and call up Holloway.
I have heard the bonus as already been paid and the Oilers are in the hook for the cap hit no matter what.If the Oilers waived Brown and a teamed claimed him would the team that claimed him be on the hook for the bonus? Or would that still fall on the Oilers are is there a defense in who pays the actual bonus and who would be stuck with the caphit after wards?
@Fourier weren't you looking to this in some reguard?
The best we have is that the team he is on when the bonus is paid would almost for sure carry the full hit. It is also very likely that the Oilers have already paid the bonus. But so far as I know we don't know for sure that the bonus has been paid.If the Oilers waived Brown and a teamed claimed him would the team that claimed him be on the hook for the bonus? Or would that still fall on the Oilers or is there a difference in who pays the actual cash of the bonus and who would be stuck with the caphit after wards?

Precisely why they never tried it in the first place if they could have rid themselves of a $3M hit for next year, they'd have at least tried it.I have heard the bonus as already been paid and the Oilers are in the hook for the cap hit no matter what.

More by default. Nobody in the EC wants Wildcard spots... Seems like the Caps are worst at tanking. Who knew?Washington is a playoff team now.
But fair enough they did ranch the Penguins after the game in Buffalo.
If I was wearing a tin foil hat here I might point out an attempt to burn the team out right before the playoffsI also like to point out that Saturday starts a stretch that sees them play 9 games in 15 days in 7 different cities.
I have heard both his cap hit would go with him and I have heard that we would still be on the hook for it. Nobody really seems to knowI have heard the bonus as already been paid and the Oilers are in the hook for the cap hit no matter what.
Gents and Ladies,
I’m on vacation in the USA, would one of you very smart younger individuals DM me some stream sites? Otherwise I have to buy ESPN for the month.
Thanks very much
ESPN+ had a 1 month free trial when I was down there last season. Maybe they have it now?
Enjoy the BBQ down there.
Oh and the ribs I had at Cordero’s in Vancouver last night were awesome.
