No! Hell no!!! Would you have been smart paying this price for PK Subban two years ago? Because that’s what OEL is now.
I don't think Klef or Nurse should be traded, but I have a gut feeling one of them will be.

I don't agree with your assessment of OEL moving forward either though.

No GM who thinks OEL is PK Subban is going to trade for the contract. There will be more than one team around the league that recognizes he's a top-pairing defenseman. The Devil is just in the details after that.

There has been several articles posted lately that clearly show OEL has declined the last two years. He is no longer worth his cap hit, let alone the assets you show it costing us. This will be a disaster if it happens.

If Arizona wants to save more money, you can switch Kassian with Russell (1 year left with 1.5 cash owed and 4 M cap hit)

Why do so many Oiler fans seem anxious to get rid of Kassian?
Any deal with OEL involved is going to require a long-term contract moving out from Edmonton. Kassian would be one of them.

That's cool. I think he bounces back feeding McDrai day in and day out.

The odds of OEL waiving his NMC is zero, and waiving it to come to Edmonton negative 3

I think you're dead wrong but time will tell.
Everyone who takes the "there's no chance" approach is generally proven wrong in relatively short order around here.

I remember a couple of guys screaming at me a few years ago that there's no chance in hell Phil Kessel was going to go to Arizona.

Take out Kuemper and Puljujarvi and it’s closer.

Hey I'd love nothing more than to see him zipping pucks up to Connor, but at the same time he just bought a 4 million dollar home, is guaranteed 8.25 mil for the next 7 or 8 years and gets to live in Arizona. Something tells me he'd rather be part of the solution rather than uproot his entire life and move to Deadmonton

Generally proven wrong, but not always ;)

Chances are Rick Tochett is fired long before OEL waives to go somewhere he doesn't want to go.

I mean this forum did just spend weeks arguing about this, only to bring it back up a few days later.
