I was kind of surprised the Yankees would deal him in the AL, they must have REALLY gotten their price. I actually have been following Sheffield a little cause I already owned his rights in a real deep dynasty league, Frazier seems really good too.

So not trying to be funny but how does this compare to giolito one for one?

I would've preferred Giolito but this is a very good return.

Pitchers are riskier so maybe that's the angle Yankees are taking.

Steep price to pay but I was tired of the Indians not making deals like this. Yankees really cleaned up with Chapman and Miller.

Gardner, Beltran, Pineda, Eovaldi, Nova. McCann if possible. Still long ways to go.

I'd like to see Indians add another pen arm. Doesn't need to be a big name. Cleveland is looking really good.

Simply unbelievable what Cashman has done. He probably just built the next Yankees core trading 2 relief pitchers.

The Indians needed to go for it this year and next and they deserve praise for willing to pay the price. Their rotation is in place long-term, Lindor-Kipnis-Brantley-Lucroy are in place through next season. They spent years building a deep farm, this was the time to use up the prospect base to go and try and win a World series for the first time since 19 ****ing 48. The back end of their bullpen was kind of shaky.

Still, it's one of those deals where you pretty much have to get to a WS to justify it. I guess they still have Zimmer and Naquin to build their OF around, so it's not too devastating to trade such a good OF prospect. If Lucroy still was undecided, they should clinch it.

Well that's scary. Basically a rotation with three aces then you add a top relief pitcher in the league.

Good luck to anyone playing them in a 5 or 7 game series.

Plus they're all under control for 2 more years at the very least.

This year and next is when most of the gang is together.

Wouldn't be surprised if they aren't finished yet.

In the national league both Cubs and nationals have that

They actually have a longer window than I thought. They really have 3 chances to win a title with Miller.

Kluber signed through 2019 with 2020 and 2021 club options.

Carrasco signed through 2018 with 2019 and 2020 club options.

Bauer and Salazar with 4 more years of club control, so through 2020.

Kipnis signed through 2019 with 2020 club option.

Lindor with 5 more years of club control, so through 2021.

Brantley signed through 2017 with 2018 club option.

If Lucroy accepts, he's the only one up after 2017.

Even with Lucroy saying no, their window is still wide open.

And all their long-term contracts are basically really good, if not great values. Well put together team.

If Yankees manage to unload those players for good returns like they've done with Miller and Chapman (obviously not AS good) then the rebuild is gonna look real good in two years. Damn.
