I remember when nucks fans said Deslauriers was worth less than Motte.
Bahahahaha.

Motte + Schenn for Liljegren eh.

Nice grab Rangers. Wasn't worth anywhere near the typical Nucks overvaluations but he's solid in a depth role.

The pot calling the kettle black. Lot's of old Dermott trade proposals that had his value much higher than a third round pick by "leaf fans".

Anyone give me a report on Motte. Seems like the perfect 4th liner
He is a perfect 4th liner.

One of the highest motors I've seen, always skating, always forechecking hard, can PK and block shots. Has underrated offensive sense (not a point producer but for a 4th liner will chip in occasionally). Not big though and won't be super bruising.

He probably wanted over $2m which is why we traded him. Good for the Rangers and a necessary move (albeit underwhelming) for the Canucks

Motte overrated by Canucks fans, has hands of stone, gets injured a lot, wanted a big extension because he skates fast and hits sometimes but really gets a lot of nothing done. A 4th is meh, why not for the Rangers I guess but a good pick for the Canucks

Exactly what I said he was worth last month. Good trade for both sides. Anyone thinking that a PK specialist who's a pending UFA and doesn't take faceoffs was going to get a 2nd rounder or Kravtsov (lolz) needed a reality check.

Glad we got something for an expiring UFA, but feel like Motte was worth more than a 4th rounder. I guess the big teams had no more picks left to give.
