This is not anything to do with Georgiev. This move is purely for Hartford and to add some veteran AHL experience to assist Adam Huska.

Now that Shesterkin is stayin with NYR, the Wolfpack needed another goalie to share the duties.

And from the Flyers perspective, they wanted to clear a spot in the AHL for Ustimenko. He was struggling to adapt early on, but has been great in the ECHL recently, and was lights out in his AHL debut.

Works out for both teams.

I want to say Georgiev trade incoming, but I feel like this is just because of the hole Shesty left in the system.

And Ustimenko has been playing great in ECHL and earned a shot at AHL, so Berube was redundant. His signing was never really necessary with vet Lyon and Sandstrom around.

Burube is UFO but they may sign him for 2 yrs so he can be exposed at expansion

Because they want another AHL goalie now and not in several weeks? Berube is UFA after the year and most likely isn't gonna be re-signed.
