So a prospects that has a low chance to make it in the NHL, A guy who can't manage to stay in the Rangers lineup and a late first that the Flames hopes is as good as Sharangovich.

I guess if Calgary was in a gambling mood :dunno:

1st + Sykora +???

might be more tempting for the Flames.

I'd make Sharangovich available. I'd consider an offer like that on the Jones/Berard side. I'd want another pick in the 2nd round though or an upgrade on the prospect in the deal.

Feels like an offseason thing but I’d be fine moving him. Value starting with a 1st is decent

Any package involving a first would be very hard to decline, as it alleviates some of the stress regarding the conditions of the Flames own first in the coming 1-3 vital years of this retool.

Cant have too many firsts at this time.

Don't think Calgary is rushing to move the kid, but when rebuilding, everyone for the most part is available, I would think.

To Calgary - NYR 1st in 24 and either Matthew Robertson or Zac Jones.

To NYR - Yegor Sharangovich

Solid middle 6 winger with a consistent 20/20 level of production.
I'd ask for a better prospect or roster player if I'm Calgary. That's basically just offering a 1st round pick + nothing much else.

He's got another year of term... Ask for Kakko straight up.

Hell no to trading sharangovich for a late first, its serves no purpose for the flames. Sharangovich is still young and just entering hes prime, a late 1st will likely not be as productive as him. If NYR wants a fwd, i would move Mangi, and he wont cost a 1st

if really from Alberta,
you probably know Robertson, and how good he was for Oil Kings,
and that he is likely gonna have a good NHL career
But i totally understand pushing back for the very best available package

not good currency for ny
also slightly less than bullseye for Flames on return

too much and also not good currency

Otthman straight up.
no b'c Ott has mo upside + team control
that = win now
and as I have said
win now = epic fail, Rs should not do

correct, but NYR is poster child for having squandered 1sts recently on rentals
so
no

I could see
Lindgren + Jones + Sykora + 4th
for
Shara + 2nd

something like dat

Woof. Hard pass. You have US adding a 2nd in this deal? This is a bern special.

you do know that just because you are from AB, doesn't mean you follow junior hockey, right? I'm an Albertan and the only player playing in the WHL in Alberta I could name is Joe Iginla. I couldn't even name someone off the local Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Yegor has a lot going for him. I don't think i'd move him for that, but I think the value is ok.

- Only 25 years old
- Makes just 3.1M
- Can play all three forward positions
- Phenomenal penalty killer
- On pace for just shy of 30 goals

On the flip side, this is exactly why we should trade him. If he doesn't repeat next year, his trade value will drop significantly, and if he does repeat, his trade value only marginally increases but his contract demands go through the roof.
