Monahan - Backlund - Jankowski - Ryan and Bennett/Lindholm who can take draws. We’re good. Plus Strome makes way too much for us to fit him in.

not even remotely, Flames "want" an upgrade on 2C because Backlund is more of a shutdown center then a scoring/production center, but we would definitely want to move either Jankowski or Ryan out in the process (also shutdown/PK centers)

If both teams weren't tight on cap and this trade could actually happen than the Rangers would deff need to add something along with Kreider to get Brodie. If Brodie is a #2 D Man than his value is superior to Kreider being a 2nd line wing. Kreider is a good player though and I can still see him hitting 30 goals if he plays on a high powered offense like Calgary's. Rangers would have to add a pick or 2.

IF Kreider does not do a decent deal for NY - no more than like 6.2 x5 with no NMC, THEN that may come to pass, but not now.

We need a top 6 centreman who is an upgrade over Backlund which Strome is not close to being. We have Derek Ryan and Mark Jankowski to play in our bottom 6. With Dube and Quine to fill in for injuries.

Why would we want to add to Andersson in a deal for Zibanejad? If that door is closed that is a positive for Flames fans.
