wow! Lou got released from the nursing home this morning apparently.
How often do you see someone sign so many years for such low AAV?
Cizikas and his young family love it on Long Island, Matt Martin is his BFF, the organization loves him, the fans love him, and the team is in their contention window.
Money was secondary to him.
In a time span when the salary cap can be expected to finally be raised. (I'd guess by quite a bit - but have no real basis for that.)If this is true, it's basically a case of less AAV for a couple more years
It's really 3.75m for 4 years, spread out over 6.I can't help but feel like there is something fishy going on. This is really cheap.
Last one I can think of was Calle Jarnkrok, six years/$12 million. How often do you see someone sign so many years for such low AAV?
$3 million AAV to be a leader in the locker room. That’s a nice pay check
I'm not sure thats true and even if it is, he is still a 4th liner. I just don't understand tying yourself to a 4th line player for six years, especially one that is 30 years old.
I think Martin's got 3 yrs left on his deal.In a vacuum the contract is probably fine. It's the fact that Martin and are signed for multiple years. I guess if Clutterbuck walks it makes them easier to digest.

I wouldn't mind seeing Clutterbuck walk.Of the three 4th liners, he is showing the most age and wear & tear.
