Weird game. Controlled most possession, easily outshot them ... just not a lot of chemistry and ended up being a narrow win.

- Pettersson with a new contract looked the same as unsigned Pettersson. Did little dangerous today and Hoglander - who was probably our best forward - carried that line.

- Mikheyev should not be in the top 6. He's an absolute mess and is a line-killer right now.

- Lindholm with another invisible nothing game. Terrible play in the last minute. 4 points in his last 13 games, SOG totals are half of what they were when he was good. Does not look capable of carrying a line and looks like a downgrade on Blueger at the 3C position. Put him on wing with Miller.

- Podkolzin looked better in the NHL than he'd looked in the AHL recently. Good showing. But he did this last year when called up and then quickly fell off. Needs to string quality performances together at this level which he hasn't done in a long time.

- DeSmith looked wobbly but got the win. God forbid Demko gets hurt.

- Juulsen-Zadorov pairing was really good today. Cole-Friedman was .... ehhhhh. Thought Hronek didn't have his best game.

Was important to get a win here given the toughness of the schedule right now.

DO IT NOW
ok F it

Mikhayev Suter Lindholm continue to look poor and were once again anchoring their lines effectiveness
Pettersson is in a slump
Cole Freidman was tough to watch in transition going up ice
Hronek has some erratic moments
PP continues to struggle
holes in the defensive coverage in the cycle is a bit concerning as better teams would have made us pay

On the flip side

Garland and Podkolzin looked good back together
Hoglander is starting to look like a young Brad Marchand
Hughes and Zadorov were excellent
i like our 4th lines work
