Given the trades today, what ONE MORE MOVE would be the icing on the cake?

I'd go with Strome and Mayfield for E. Kane:

Lee / JT / KO
Frans / Nelson / Kane
Grabner / Grabovski / Kulemin
Bailey / CC / Clutterbuck

deHaan - Boychuck
Leddy / Hamonic
Hickey / Viz

Reinhart and Pulock start in Bridgeport. MM as the 13th forward

Halak / Johnson

"John Tavares . . . come out and pick up . . ." - Bettman

I don't see that trade happening, though after today, who the hell knows.

Here's the list of current/potential sellers:

West
Flames
Jets
*Sharks
*Canucks
*Predators

East
Senators
Leafs
Hurricanes
*Capitals
*Devils

*Only if guaranteed to be out of a playoff spot.

Not sure what you could do with all that. But that's where you would be making moves from

An NHL coach is the move we need to make.

Not to keen on moving Strome and Mayfield for E.Kane, I personally think that's overpayment. While I get the "We need to compete now" mentality, let's not gut all our prospects.

I'm more then content with today's moves but Strome and Mayfield are part of our future. Remember, Boychuk isn't signed, we have no early picks next summer and Vis has a year or 2 left max. It's time to be super conservative with our D-Prospects.

No on the OP... I don't know if I would want Kane... Id leave roster as is for a good 20-30 games.

Isles are going to be a very good team this year.

Isles only question mark is weather Visnovsky and DeHaan can stay healthy enough throughout an 82 game campaign. That's got me a little worried.

Whoa whoa whoa.

Easy.

We have on need now, and that aint happening. It's a number one dman. A Doughty, a Weber, a Suter.

It's not happening and that's ok. We have Hamonic signed on long term. De Haan. Reinhart. Pulock. Leddy has years for us given he's a RFA. We'll be steady rocking on D.

What about Hudler or Glencross for that top line?

--Hudler is a pure playmaker who has excellent vision. Perfect set up man for JT or Oko.

--Glencross is more or less P.A/Moulson. He's a power forward sniper who can slide anywhere up and down the left side depth chart. Lots of energy.

The Flames need defensive prospects first, and RW prospects second.

I'll bet anyone on this board that Cappy will be fired if we don't make the playoffs.

The only move we need to make now is to get rid of Bailey.

It seems like Evander Kane would be a perfect fit in your top-6, and just wondering whether there's a deal to be had with Winnipeg centering around Bailey, perhaps adding Pulock since there is still Reinhart and Hickey, Strait, Donovan and Carkner.. What would you guys have to add to convince Winnpeg to part with Kane AND take Bailey off your hands?

I don't expect that they take on more salary now. First they will get rid of some salary and then we will see what kind of opportunitiess are out there. For a start this looks good now.
