Good call putting Shattenkirk second, he's money in the shootouts. Good job by Allen as well.

Nice win.

Not sure how, but we've come away with 2 wins.

Tonight bothers me a lot more than losing the late goal last night. Gifted an early 2-0 lead against a poor team on the second of a back-to-back, this game has to be killed off in the first. We need to be more ruthless.

Ultimately a win is all that matters.

Good road win for a tired, undermanned team. I'll take it.

Goc, Ott and Reaves played very well. Rattie played decently. Both he and Lindström backchecked decently - which was nice to see. Allen played very well, too (other than that gaff of nonchalantly watching an almost goal hit the post).

Reaves is an offensive juggernaut! Should be a 10 goal season!

Noticed Gonk centering Schwartz and Tarasenko there on a shift or 2, in the final minutes of the game. Stastny has been entirely underwhelming this season. Can't really use the shoulder injury excuse any longer. Glad they won, wish they could have gotten the ROW out of it, but oh well it's 2 points.

I think we all would have made that same decision. Would you have wanted Lindström as a centre defending The Canes #2 or #3 lines for 13-14 minutes, with Rattie on his wing??? Remember that The Canes had the last change at home.

That was the only choice he had. Now we see the genious of the trade for Goc. It got The Blues an extra point last night and tonight, too.

True in this game, as The Blues aren't likely to face The Canes in The Stanley Cup Finals.

But, giving The Preds that extra point in Thursday's game, could force The Blues to play The Hawks in the 2nd playoff series, when it might not have occurred otherwise. We saw an even more terrible consequence of giving up a single point last season, when not giving up one of the points to The Avs would have resulted in The Blues playing Minnesota in the first round, rather than The Hawks. The Blues probably would have beat Minnesota in the First Round, giving them time to have Berglund Oshie and Backes get back to full health, and possibly allowing The Blues to beat The Hawks in that 2nd series, with the healthier players, and the added time for the recent returnees to gel with their lines, and the added confidence of winning the first series.

I reject your "Toews" . The only power I believe in is the power of The Schwartz

Lou said that Allen couldn't find the puck whenever it got flipped up into the air due to the dark seats at PNC Arena. Apparently he had no idea where the puck was when it ended up hitting off the post.

Loved Cole, Allen and Reaves tonight

Yes! I forgot to mention how well Cole played tonight. He made 3 really good defensive plays in the defensive zone to avert good scoring chances for The Canes. He made some really good outlet passes as well. Finally, the percentage of good plays versus bad, is starting to improve with added experience. He's getting more consistently good, and more trustworthy on defence, and contributing more on offence, as well. Maybe there's hope for him to stay and grow with this team, after all.

If his growth wasn't stunted by Hitch, he'd be way further a long. He's a very good 3rd pairing D with 2nd pairing potential. I just wish Hitch would leave him in there to play and develop.
